I'm a part-time teacher, and for the rest of my working time I'm a writer.
Teaching first: My qualifications are in Education and Psychology and I've taught Personal & Social Education classes for many years. I live in Scotland, UK, and teach in a school in Glasgow. I love it! You hear so many bad things about young people today... Well, my students come from all over the world and never fail to inspire me. No kidding!
Now my writing: This includes motivational books for both teenagers and parents, and I often write for publications such as 'The London Times' and various parenting websites. More recently I've taken to writing fiction for younger readers. To promote my writing I've been on radio and television in the UK - but I'm not entirely comfortable with that!
I enjoy giving talks in schools, libraries and bookshops, both at home and abroad. My topics include motivation, learning, assertiveness and confidence-building.
I live with my wife and family, and enjoy walking in the hills around our home, playing the piano and keyboard, and going to the cinema and theater.

On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:
people who passionately believe that life is for 'livin, lovin and laughin' - if families learned this they'd survive their challenges and the world would be a happier and more stable place. I want to share that vision in Gather - but not in a serious, formal, do-gooder, boring and preachy way!
Let's lighten up, support each other - and have fun doing it!
